Dr Jonathan Caron

I joined the ICVI in October 2018 as a Postdoctoral Researcher. I have previously studied Immunopathology and Biotherapy at University Pierre and Marie Curie (UPMC) in Paris, and arrived in the UK in 2015 to work at King’s College London for a postdoctoral project about tumor-associated-macrophages in cancer immunotherapy. I am particularly interested in using multidisciplinary approaches for a better understanding of how the immune system can be harnessed to attack tumours. To this end I am studying Gamma-Delta T-cells and their potential as anticancer cell therapy. For example how they respond to environmental changes, how they detect and infiltrate tumours and how they can prevent cancer recurrence. I am delighted to be part of the ICVI team and would like to thank everyone that donates towards the research – it really does make a difference.
